I have almost everything anyone could ever ask for. I have an amazing husband, who is always supportive. He is a great dad and I can always depend on him. Now, the picture isn’t always that pretty. He drives me nuts. I drive him nuts. We yell at each each A LOT, but we do have a lot of love for each other. That shit happens when you’ve known each other for 27 years!
I have three healthy children. They fight and argue, but they are healthy, smart, polite and all mine. They, too, drive me insane, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world.
I have a thriving business. Who knew that GF would be where it is today? I never thought it would grow to these proportions. It makes me giddy to think about what lies ahead. It really excites me and scares the shit outta me. Luckily, my people are the best.
My Right Hand, Kelly, has been through it all with me. That girl has a serious work ethic that you do not find in a lot of people these days. She is smart. She is quirky. She has taught me A LOT this past year. I am super thankful to have her by my side, especially as we enter 2016!
I can’t forget about my Amy, aka The Juice Lady. She brings a lot to the table. She really rounds us out. She knows what pairs with what. She takes great care in making sure that all the fruits and veggies are on point. Amy makes sure everything is of good quality. She also gets super cranky sometimes, especially Tuesday nights. I love it and I love her. Even though I don’t want her to ever leave, I have a feeling her juice business, RunningOMGreen is going to take off!
I also need to shout out some people behind the scenes. My girl, Maggie Cameron from Wayout Design. She is constantly working on my website to make sure it’s running as efficiently as possible. Every Monday she is on stand-by to help me put out the menu and to also check my grammar! Ha ha. She is so smart and so good at what she does. Not only is she the best web designer ever, she is also one of my best friends. She keeps my shit grounded. She is my voice of reason. All big decisions get her stamp of approval.
Last but not least, My Cari. She worked with us last summer. Sadly, she had to get a full-time job so she no longer works with us. Her presence is missed, but she is still lurking around. She is always up to help on the weekends or when we get in the weeds on a Tuesday night. She brings a lot of energy to us, and she always manages to distract the shit outta me. When she walks through the door, it’s on. The music gets louder. There is a lot of dancing and laughs! She is another one of my best friends who keeps me grounded and her signature of approval is always needed when big things are happening.
It would be completely wrong of me not to mention my firate employee ever. My dude, Chet. My grill master. He took great care in his grilling duties. We had a lot of fun in the early GF days. Chet’s time with us was temporary because he was working on something way bigger and that was becoming a father. November 12, Riley Louise Elewski was born. I know that Chet & Laura are going to be amazing parents! Thank you Chet for the time you spent with us!
I can’t forgot about my loyal people. The people that order food from me week in and week out. Without you, I cannot operate. Thank you for letting me cook for you and your families. I love offering up new things, and you’re always there to try it. Thank you!
As you can see, I’m super lucky. There is one more piece missing from this equation: My health. I have really let that slide this past year. Yes, I was busy growing a thriving business in addition to my motherly aNdola wifely duties. It was a rough year physically and even rougher because I wasn’t at my best. I felt it in so many ways. I need to get back to that. Not just because it makes me healthier but it makes me happy. This year, I WILL make myself a priority.
I CAN have it all and I deserve to have it all. We ALL do. Who’s with me? I can’t do it alone. Reply to this post! Message me! Let’s make this happen in 2016!
Since I’m going to have it all in 2016, I need to take some time off and prepare for all this greatness that awaits me. I plan to hang with my kiddos, get my ass back to the gym, organize my office, balance my QuickBooks, visit family that I never get to see, sleep in, play a lot of Wii and finally watch “Orange is the new Black”. We’ll see you all back on January 4th!
Happy Holidays!
