Every morning, my daughter Freya asks Siri how many days until Christmas. Every morning when she asks this question, it reminds me that I have to start thinking about shopping for Christmas. Yes…I know. I am a little behind. In fact, a lot of my friends are already done and have everything wrapped. If you know me well enough, you know that I am at best when under pressure.
With that being said, I am only offering one thing this week. This week is Kalua pork, braised cabbage and grilled pineapple. The pork is slow roasted for 24 hours in a special volcanic salt from Hawaii and fresh garlic. It’s so simple and so good. This recipe is from Nom Nom Paleo, and it’s one of her best. The braised cabbage is done in the oven for 2 hours and it’s packed with cabbage, carrots, red onions, ALEEPO pepper and finished off with an aged balsamic. It goes perfectly with the pork and grilled pineapple.
You can order simply by texting me at 724-413-3461, private messaging through Facebook or just responding to my Facebook post.
**This is will be my last week until the new year. Girl Friday will resume January 5, 2015**
