Back when we first started, we participated in the Finleyville Pub Crawl on St. Patrick’s Day. Not really knowing what it was all about, we made Guinness Stew. Very quickly we learned that maybe stew wasn’t what the people of Finleyville wanted. Needless to say, we had a lot leftover so we ate it for days! It was so good. Deep and rich in flavor. I mean stew is amazing but add that dark Guinness to the mix. Oh wow. My suggestion for you is to get yourself a loaf of really good sourdough bread, butter that baby up and toast it in the oven. Then ladle this stew over top of it and gobble it up.
